I have noticed something very harsh: the shorter the man, the harder it is for him to get a girlfriend. What I would like to know is why is it that even women who are under 5'3" would rather date men who are 5'11" and up.? Not all women are like that,but most of the short women I have seen would rather date men who are at least 5'11" or taller.

It might be personal experience. I'm 5'5" and none of the men in my family are under 6' tall. My mother has always mocked men like Tom Cruise for being short and I have grown up with idea that attractive men are tall. Even so, I would be weirded out to be with a man who was significantly shorter than my Dad (who's 6'). A lot of short men have these Napoleon complexes and don't dress and carry themselves appropriately compared to tall men. Our society tries to enforce this notion that men should be tall as well.

the average man in the US is 5'9"s ...so most woman are with the average........makes sense yes.......some women like taller men because it makes them feel thinner /smaller,...... I know lots of shorter men who date often but a bad attitude and bad humor that will stop a woman flat ..............keep a great sense of humor and be fun to be with ... it will go far

I'm 6'6", handsome, with a muscular build and a science degree... and i still have trouble finding a good relationship. Everyone loves a roll in the hay with me, but a quality girlfriend is almost impossible to find.

Thats no really true if you're good looking. Average guys may find it a little harder but most people don't only go for looks.

Women know that they want tall children and therefore always look for a partner that looks healthy and seems that he will make good children. Anyways, tall men don't always get the girl if they are ugly you know. I know many guys that are around 5'10 who I would date (and I loove tall men) and they are so hot so I would date them. It's mostly looks and money, but if a guy is under 5'7 then it's a no-no, sorry.

i am a short man.. i dont know why either, sure wish i knew the real reason.. maybe they think a short guy is short in all departments..lol
