I had my baby completely naturally and well, yea, it's defenitely the most painful thing I have ever experienced. It's do-able, but it's really really hard. There's really no way to describe it. If this is a man asking this question, women have a pain threshold that is nine times higher than a man's, and we do not exaggerate, it really is hard. If this is a woman asking this, just know that it is do-able, you can find the strength to do it and the second the baby's born you forget all the pain and you're just so in love. It's the hardest thing I've ever done and it's SOO worth it.

Dear Elizabeth
Yes, childbirth is painful. Although today there are so many drugs that can be given to you while you are in labor, that you won't feel a thing. Most hospitals recommend the epidural, this will numb you from your waist down. I had 4 babies, when NATURAL was the way to go. Don't be a hero let them make you as comfortable as possible. The real pain is when they learn to sass you back. Have a healthy baby, and relax; this too shall pass.

Yes it is very painful. I just had a baby about 6 months ago. The contractions hurt me more then pushing my little girl out but that's because i had 2 forms of pain meds. To be honest with you the pain is like a major cramp, or like your insides are trying to fall out. The pain varies with each woman but with most of them the pain is more then they can handle to they get shots to help deal with it. The pain I went threw made me very sick to my stomach to the point of throwing up. The nurse said that was normal for how much pain i was in.

oh course it hurts. some women it really is no big deal to others you think your about to die and everyone is just looking at you like whats your problem. Every birth is different . Both of my c-sections was very different. The best thing you can do is be prepared for pain. take a lamaze class. know your rights and have lots of support with you and you will be fine.

Child birth with out medication is worse than anything else you can ever feel. There are a very small small percentage of woman who claim not to experiance pain.

It is but once the baby is born, the pain is forgotten. The pain is very real and hurts like the dickens, but it is all worth it. Ask any woman who has given birth to their children.

omg I recall hitting my head on the tub trying to go natural....after giving birth I had no idea why I had the big ball on my head. the pain of smacking my head hard against the tub was nothing in comparison. I remember asking for meds after hours of being in labor and threatening my partner for not really getting the dr. I was so embarrassed afterwards!

hurts like nothing you could ever imagine!

Yes, it can be very painful. The hips and head of the child are much larger than those of other animals. This makes childbirth a more difficult process for humans.

i had my son only 2months ago no drugs so the pain is still fresh in my mind! in freaking hurts like hell but once the bubs is out the pain stops...i think the contractions were worse coz they lasted 12hours lol, but a womans body is made to carry a baby aswell as give birth so no matter how much it hurts were made to get thru it!

Well, it's no walk in the park but I honestly was pleasantly suprised by my experiences. My first was exhausting...I think it was more tiring than it was painful and my 2nd I was too drugged up to feel anything and I pushed about 5 minutes. I recommend the epidural if you are worried, it's amazing!
