My best friend is getting married this Saturday and I wanted to tan a few times before the wedding. After 3 tans I am pretty dark but I put it off until the last minute so I would have to tan the next 3 days in a row to get the 3 tans in. Is this safe or should I just tan twice so I can skip a day? Thanks.

Just wanted to add that I've only tanned in tanning beds a couple times in high school for big events and that I would only be using the tanning bed for this event...I don't want it to sound like I tan all year long or something.

look, i tan year round and have tonnss of experience with tanning beds.... 3 days in a row is okay...but heres some advice:
1)listennn to the person who works there, sounds like you dont fake bake that much so go by the amount of time they suggest you go in each session
2)use tanning lotion-- bronzers are best, they have moisturizers and make you that much darker
3)tanning 3 times in a row once in your life will NOT give you skin cancer. the tanning bed is just like giong out in the sun-- theyre both dangerous, just be careful about exposure.
4) MOISTURIZE...tanning dries out your skin so keep it healthy
5) switch out one of those three tanning sessions for a spray tan. it will make the color more even and will get you the darkest the fastest...but i wouldnt take a shower/get wet for 8 hours after getting the spray tan
hope it works out and have fun at the wedding! :)

To make your tan nice and even, you should tan a few times before the wedding. I wouldnt go three times in a row if I wasn't tanning all the time. You dont want to burn and then be peeling for the wedding.
Go a couple times a week for the 2 wks leading up to the wedding and you should be fine.
I tan all the time (I live in GA and we like to be tan)... so I do go tanning 3 days in a row sometimes BUT not when I first start after not going for a while.
Here are some other tanning tips:
-- drink lots of water. tanning dries your skin out and the best way to have good skin is by being hydrated.
-- use a tanning bed lotion when you lay so you absorb more of the rays and dont have to go so much.
-- if your skin is tingling and tight when you get out, slather on aloe, especially on your face and chest.
-- take advil to decrease the pain you'll feel
-- put a gel mask on your eyes so they dont swell (keep the mask in the fridge)

It is not safe tanning in a tanning bed at all. The UV rays it emits are harmful. I don't think three days of tanning will kill you, (well depends how long), but you should skip a day.
Use tanning lotion, it can look blotchy if it is not rubbed in evenly, but it is better then getting skin cancer, and wrinkles at an early age.
Just tan twice. There are less UV rays, and it is your best friend's wedding, not yours. So you probably will be in the photos, but a day less of not tanning wont kill you.

Sure you can tan every day, but I'd shorten the amount of time for each session. For example, if you normally tan for 20 minutes at a time, I'd cut that in half and tan for just 10 minutes each time.

You won't get much of a tan in such little time. You should have thought of that sooner because you'll want to start out slowly so as not to burn. Always give yourself 24 hours between tanning sessions.

It's not safe to tan in a tanning bed at all! Use tan in a bottle.

I know its not necessarily safe, but if you like tanning then that is your decesion. The new thing is bronzers and mystic tans so if you wanting color then maybe skipping a few days and doing the fake color is better?

This method of getting a tan is not good. It could cause skin cancer. Many teens and women are getting skin cancer because they are using tanning beds.
