Right or left? I saw on the show Roseanne that it was bad for the heart to sleep on your left side. Then again, I shouldn't relate heart conditions to a tv show.

My sinuses are always screwed up on my right side so I
sleep on my left. But I believe on your back is the best.

As messed up as it sounds that is true. If you sleep on you left side the weight of your lungs press on your heart as you sleep, there for making your heart work harder. If you sleep on the right side your heart has the freedom of no weight nothing expanding against it. So get a good night sleep on what ever side you can fall asleep on.

That is an interesting thought that never occurred to me. If Roseanne is correct then the supposition that sleeping on your left side is bad would be correct.

Left!!! When you are pregnant they tell you to sleep on your left side because its better for the heart and for the baby. My youngest is 8 yrs old and I still sleep on my left side. I find that if I sleep on my right I can't breathe.

I think what is bad for Roseanne's heart is all that cholesterol she has with her Big Mac's. However you sleep is fine. It doesnt make a difference as long as its not straining your neck or back.

I wouldn't pay attention to that tv show. Some people found the prone position to be good for their stomach ache. Sleep on the side that's comfortable.

Niether each side causes neck pains after a while.
I personaly sleep on my stomcah with one leg bent upwards toward my face. It helps relax your back.
