I never had any acne in my life, im 26. I have been getting somewhat of a rash by my chin, the past few months, they are not big pimples or anything, but enough to bother me. I really do not want to go to a derm, because it is not that bad. I have been using neutrogena stree free face soap, and it is not helping. Also these pimples or whatever are small white dots, you can hardly see. what are they, and what are some good products to try to get rid of them?

It is probably perioral dermatistis. A condition almost only exclusively of women. Probably related to flucuations in hormones - but as of yet, there is nothing documented on the exact cause. Thus, the next question would be how are your menstral periods? Also, have you started or stopped birth control recently? The condition responds poorly to topical medications. But it's best treatment is oral antibotics in the tricyline family such as tetracyline, doxycyline, or minocyline.
You need to see a dermatologist because they will ask followup questions like this to try and narrow down the cause and to determine the correct dosage of antibotics.
Good Luck! Your Friendly Dermatologist.

Are you sure it is acne? Some people get small cysts in their hair follicles that appear as white dots. Yes, women have them too. It may be best to see a doc or derm to learn the true problem.
Pimples are normally soft, cysts are harder. Get it checked out is the best idea.

try neutrogena face pads in the darker orange box. ( there are two,, one in a light orange box and one in a dark orange box) you can get them anywhere ( wal-mart) and they are really cheap. Use them for maybe a week or so and your face will be real smooth and clean. Your face may be dried out when you first start using them but replenish with some lotion or something. Hope this works!! Good Luck
