swollen eyes?

My eyes started swelling first the left now the right, the right one is extremely swelled and they hurt when i blink.. it happened very suddenly what could it be?

there could be many factors:

- you could be tired
- allergies
- straining of the eyes (see your eye doctor)

so if you're tired:
- go to bed

if you have allergies:
- take an allergy decongestant

if you're eyes are straining:
- get some glasses or stop reading or both

My daughter (7 yrs) had her eyes swollen so much that we actually could see only a thin line instead of the whole open eye soon after she took suppository to bring the fever down. Some people are allergic to simple drugs as paracetamol .

Keep a check from now onwards and also check immediately for any kind of tumours. I have no intention of scaring you but 2 of the people I know had their eyes POPPING OUT and not exactly swollen found to have tumours in the brain. But there is difference between SWELLING and POPPING OUT of the eyes.

Just see if u have taken any medication before it started.
It can also be an allergy from some pollutant if u have gone or experienced a new place or new extreme kind of enviroment.

You may have an allergy to something. Have you recently used a new make up or product on your eyes or around the eye area? It could be from a lot of things, a new cleaning product, new air freshener, etc.

This could be a infection of the eye, it also could be pink eye, if you wear contacts, or have changed to a different solution to clean them with, it could be allergic reaction, the best thing to do , is to see a Dr. about this, he can give you some antibiotic ointment , that you put in your eyes , to take care of the infection, Please don`t wait, to see a Dr. your eyes are the window to the world.
