Reasons dogs scratch at their ears are:
1. Allergy - food / grass / plant / insect bites
2. Ear mites
3. Bacterial infection
4. Fungal infection
Best thing to do is take to vet and get them to have a look down the canal.

It could be an ear infection or ear mites. You should get her into the vets as soon as you can for a check to see whats going on.
Yes both can be treated very easily.

Try equal amounts of water, vinegar and peroxide and put a couple of drops in each ear twice a day for three days then go to once a day for a week.

Ear infections are very common in puppies, and are painful! Get her to the vet and have her checked for ear mites, bacteria, and yeast infection in her ears. Your vet can give you the right kind of ear medication, depending on what kind of infection she has.

If this is an ongoing problem that is causing her discomfort, you really need to take her to the vet and have her looked at. She might have ear mites or an infection, and require treatment and medication.

It's probably an inner ear infection. She needs to go to the vet...they'll show you how to clean it and put medication in the ear canal.

Spunds like earmites. You can buy an over the counter med but they stink. IF you go to the vet and tell them she has earmites they will give you some meds.
