Windows Movie Maker is part of Windows XP service pack 2

Adobe Premiere is a good editor. And it's free from the site below.

Go here: http://thepiratebay.org/recent
Type in "Adobe Premiere" in the search bar and several versions will appear.

And you will need a bittorrent client to accomplish the download. Here is a good one:
