Carol didn't say anything to Jim. Jim asked Carol out to lunch.
They spoke and the conversion ended. 20 minutes later, Carol confronted Denise in person about the gossip that Denise was spreading. Denise was stressed out.

Carol and Jim has known each other for a longtime.

What does it say that Jim asked Carol out to lunch?
They are going out to lunch?

It wasn't true maybe, or it was true but not within Denises right to put her into that position so its time for some cat fighting?

Jim likes Carol back, maybe, could be Jim just wants to be laid we don't know enought about Jim to be able to define his intentions in any meanful way.

Never says really if they do are not just ends with the confrontation between Denise and Carol. Of course with the tag line "Carol and Jim has known each other for a longtime" I would expect it is an eveuality that they well some day again go out to lunch. Then again I don't know enough of the dynamics of there longtime relationship, so I could be mistaken.

Well confrontation has a habit of putting the human body into Fight Or Flight mode. So she better be stress out are she is one hardcore cookie.
