HARD!!! the plastic used is ABS and is tough stuff. the good news is that because it is so light weight it has no kenetic energy to expend so it just bounces off of things. though things like pavement can cause scratches to form wich can effect trajectory. Canadian tire offers a rubber sticky dart board like thing that the air soft balls just sort of stick to but don't sink into if you want to keep your ammo prestine.. You will have more trouble with looseing them under things than worying about scratches or chips.

specific and specific the velocities of a few much inexpensive weapons are limited to truly low velocities(200fps or much less)and at theese speeds the plastic pellets are risk loose and bounce. there are even gentle rubber dart board issues that the pellets save on with, not into (dart board purpose would desire to be sparkling). HOW EVER somewhat some the gas operated millitary simulation "reproduction" air gentle weapons shoot a lot swifter and would take out eyes or a minimum of injury them and sensative skin. i'm an avid paint ball participant and a hunter too, and understand what's risk-free and what isn't risk-free. first permit me say this. ALLWAYS positioned on EYE risk-free practices! you in basic terms get one set of eyes so be risk-free. for the main area nevertheless air gentle is a particularly risk loose interest as long because of the fact the regulations are accompanied. I positioned on a mask constantly while taking part in a sport the place i'm shooting at yet another individual or am being shot at. the closer you are the extra kenetic potential the 6mm ammo would have . there is frequently a mercy rule of no shot with in this way of super style of ft (5-10). play risk-free and function relaxing.

I am an avid airsofter. I have a modified tokyo marui g36k. It shoots so hard i have to use heavier ammo. From a .2 gram to a .25 gram. If it hits a hard surface direct enough it can break the hard plastic ammo. Shatter it sometimes. Even larger sniper rifles shoot .43g. I dont know of those breaking because they have graphite in them to increase the weight.

It's hard plastic, and in some of the more powerful (300+fps) guns it will indeed shatter against a hard surface. They may be hard plastic, but they weigh very little, from 12/100ths of a gram to 1/4 of a gram.
