Roadkill.
One has to be a specialist in this sort of matter.
You have to carefully check the cuts of meat, and leave out the obvious tire tracks and mashed parts.
The rest are good cuts, be they from rabbit, racoon, gopher, squirrel, or skunk!
It's all in the butcher work and what your personal situation is in living off the land, due to political pressures, like from the National DFS.
Try to gently lift the skin off the creature (Or reptilian) involved, without ruining too much more meat. (Don't do this in the middle of the road, of course.)
Clean off the very bloody and broken parts. Unless the political pressure of DFS has made you THAT hungry.
Use lots of pepper and other spices if you can afford them (Garlic, sage plants grow naturally, and marination can involve simply beating the dead animal across a telephone phone long enough to make it tender) Until you think you'd make your Socialist Worker happy.
Then light a collection of match books and the like until you have a decent fire, and roast your meat until it's as cooked as you can get away with without someone calling the Fire Dept.
Make sure to put out your fire before the Political Incorrectness Squad shows up, and quelches your right to live off the land, and jails you for not paying taxes and the like.
Good luck! This is AMERICA! LAND OF THE FREE!
(Except for you and me.)

I don't mean to sound self-centered, but other than my mom's chocolate cake, I can make pretty much anything better than anyone else I know. I love meeting other people who can cook as well as I can though because you make a connection when you know you can trust their opinion of a recipe or even whether or not a restaurant is worth visiting.

My family says I'll be taking all the steakhouses out of business due to my outrageously delicious t-bone steaks smothered in my homemade 'secret' bbq sauce. Another hit, that no one has ever came close to, is my fabulous NY cheesecake with strawberry swirls. I'm a New York'er, I do what I do best. LOL.

Most of my family say I make the best Braised Lamb Shanks and mint gravy they have ever tasted, served with mashed potatoes and minted peas.

It sounds simple but it really is "Good Eats"
