Ok, I was writing and i accidentally pressed either CONTROL, (alt)OPTION, or the APPLE (control) button and another button, and paragraph symbols (¶) and dots appeared everywhere. I can't write like this! HELP! I don't think it matters if the advice is from Microsoft Word for Macs or PC's.

Standard Toolbar has a paragraph symbol. Clicking on it should turn the symbols (paragraph, space, etc.) on/off.

If this does not clear the symbol. Go to Tools>Options and select the View tab. About half-way down is the Format section. Make sure that nothing is checked. Exit out of dialog box.

There should be a ¶ button on your toolbar. Just click it, If you don't have one of then find one of the ›› buttons on the toolbar, and find the the ¶ button. If it isn't in one of the ›› try another. Hope I helped.

well on the toolbars on the top there is a sign like that. that can be show/hide (shown or hide) I click on it and it appears and dissappears. look for it, it might be hidden click on the down arrows that might be on the toolbar to uncover the hidden icons.
on tools click on customize and make sure that the 'standard' toolbar is checked if not enable it and the little paragraph sign will appear on your toolbar, like I said if you don't see it click on the little down arrows to find it.
