if your parents won't take you to the doctor then go see the nurse at your school and explain the situation to her, perhaps she can convince your parents to take you to a qualified physician. But you definitely need to see a doctor to be fully checked out.

Hi. I have had serious back problems since I was 19 and had surgery a few times. I think a chiropractor could be doing you more harm than good, especially if there is an underlying problem that they are not aware of, and I hope, like the nurse said earlier, that they took x-rays before they started treatment. If you can't get your parents to take you to the doctor, see if a family member you trust can take you (grandparents?)
If you can see a doctor tell them all your symptoms and what you have been doing about it. They may send you for an MRI or refer you to a specialist. Another great option would be to see a physiotherapist as they can give you treatment to relieve the pain, but also give you exercises to strengthen the core muscles around your spine (including your abs and pelvic floor muscles) which won't hurt you while you are doing them.
If there is someone at school that can help you out, have a chat with them also.
You shouldn't have to put up with pain at your age, becuase it does have an affect on school and sports, so try and find someone you can trust.
Maybe do some research on the internet about options that could be available, there is a lot if information out there, and call a family meeting and tell your parents what you have learn't and ask them if they can please take you to se a doctor because you know that they love you and want to help you, and you feel that this would help you.
Good luck with it all, I have been there, so feel free to email me and I can try and point you in the right direction for your research and how you can work with your parents to start feeling better.

massage therapy and... Much pain is from muscles below is an example of what may help (based on headaches).
Begin with a couple swigs of molasses or a couple of bananas (natural muscle relaxers) daily - magnesium (which regulates many things in the body) and potassium (a needed building block for muscles).
Drink at least 1/2 gallons of water per day. Running a body low on water is like running a car low on oil is the analogy the head of neurology at UCDavis told my husband about 10 years ago.
Now to the cause - muscles - your back, neck shoulders and head have tender spots. They are knots in the fibers of the muscles called trigger points. It makes the muscles tight which makes them press on nerves and other things causing the pain.
The cure - start with a professional massage, you will also want to go back over any place you can get to 6-12 times per session up to 6 times per day rubbing (or lightly scratching on your head) every where that is tender until the knots go away. The place where the skull connects to the spine press up under the edge of the skull (to get to those muscles).
For more information read The Trigger Point Therapy Workbook by Davies. It teaches what to do and where the pain comes from.

you should go see an orthopedic surgeon they might do an MRI witch you need. Then he will decide if you need therapy. They could be hurting your back worse when they crack it. Tell your mom that you really need to see a different doctor for a second opinion. The back is not something to mess with it could mess you up for life and please don't do anymore sit up this also could do more harm then good. My husband just had surgery on his back and it still isn't any better and the doctor said he will never work again because he has permanent nerve damage. He is only 35 yrs. old .Try to get to another doctor and have your mom read these answers.

I had a similar problem from swimming. I suggest getting some x-rays to see if it is anything more bone related, take the xrays to your chiro... my chiro found i have minor Degeneration in my spine (i'm 17). see if they find anything.
you should also work your abs, my chiro told me to do that... if you work your opposite muscles (back vs. abs) you will build up your back even though you are working your abs. and whats wrong with a six pack. lol... work the sides of your abs more than anthing and very very lower abs. and look online for some lower back excerises you could do.
Also try correcting your posture... i know i may sound like my parents, and i hated listening to mine, but posture really helps...
it also doesnt hurt to get a new mattress... a soft one, not firm firm you want it to support your back/hips when you sleep.
sorry that was so long... hope that helps

I am glad that you take your own situation into your own hands, you know yourself, how you feel, no one else does. The best thing you can do is to have spinal xrays done, and possible a mri, these are tests of images of the spine,, the chiropractor should have taken x-rays, of your spine, I hope he did, for this is the first thing they will do,,, Get checked out. Please . Good Luck ! Keep on standing up for yourself ......

Sit-ups are bad if you have a back problem. You really need to go to the doctor. Is the spine problem diagnosed? My brother has a problem where one of his disks is funny, and they make him do some exercises like pelvic lifts. You might need to go to a physical therapist.
