My brother wants a wedding cake with figurines of 2 of his Shih Tzu's in it. It is a beach wedding, and I'm having a hard time figuring out how to make it without it looking really odd. Any suggestions?

To make one, you may be able to use a plastic coaster or dish or buy a pre-made topper base, invert it, and hot glue two small toy dogs to it, and surround them with small seashells, fake or real rose petals, pearls, edible glitter, or any type of small object that you feel would complement both the cake and your brother's wedding theme.

Oh my gosh..I can't believe I this question! I just spoke to my baker about incorporating my shih-tzu on our wedding cake! The cake will be a formal looking cake of 5 tiers with sugar paste flowers in my wedding colors and other beautiful decorations, but I just had to include my pup in the wedding somehow (since he isn't allowed at the venue). So he is making a little black and white marzipan pup to be placed on the top next to "us." If you can't make one yourself out of marzipan, I know eBay has small shih-tzu figurines you could place on the cake. I don't think it will look odd, it's adorable! But then again, I'm a little eccentric!

oh how cute! The Walmart where I live make little cake dogs using 2 cupcakes each then piping on the icing like a Shitzu. Maybe a site can be foung on the internet. Anyway the size would be good, 4 cupcakes in all, for a cake topper.

You can just put them on top of a regular wedding cake. We had orangutans on top of our cake. I work with primates and we wanted to incorperate that and orangutans are sexually dimoprhic so you can tell one was a male and one was a female. We used Schlecht. You should see if you can find 2 Shih Tzus that look different and use them. It should be cute!!!

If the dogs were getting married then I'd say, Ok...but if people are getting married I'd say, what he heck do you want dogs on a wedding cake for ??? I thought weddings were for PEOPLE not dogs...I wouldn't do it...
