Your best friend needs to tell her parents and report this crime to the police. Talk to her about how the guy is still out there and could hurt other girls the way he hurt her. He needs to be put in jail where he can't hurt anyone else. She also should have counseling by professionals to get through this difficult time and deal with the emotional stress and feelings of guilt and shame. She did nothing wrong-the rapist did.

You need to give her the opportunity to say something first. Try your best to convince her to alert the police and her parents. Tell her that she needs to let someone know because she may never know if the guy gave her something or what. And if after you tell her that and she still does not say anything tell her that you are going to call the police or something if she doesn't. She's gonna be mad at first but if she's your good friend she will thank you later. Even if she does know the person and don't want any trouble she needs to tell someone soon before it's too late. I hope that she realizes how good a friend she has in you. Good luck
Go with her when she goes to tell the police and her parents and go with her to the hospital. Also let her know that no matter what it was not her fault that it happened to her. I don't care if she was fully naked and the changed her mind at the last minute no means no.

You should really encourage her to tell, go to the hospital and have a full rape work up done, and get the help she needs, including authorities. She could help to keep it from happening to another girl by that same person. Let her know that it is not her fault, in any way. I don't know how old this individual is. If it is someone still living with her parents, I personally would help her tell her mother, or help her tell your mother. Ignoring the situation will not help her!

well first off does her parents know? if u r a great caring person n love ur friend very much u would help her but not actually tell anyone like talk 2 her about it n try 2 convince her she needs 2 tell someone that would be the best thing 2 do n if she does that she can possibly get the person that raped her behind bars so he wont do it 2 anyone else!!

You should tell someone. People who are raped often experience victim's shame, which causes them to want to keep the rape to themselves. This is typical behavior and the victim needs help. The only way to get your friend the help that she needs is by telling somone... Trust me, she needs someone (a professional) to help her deal with this traumatic event. I recommend her parents or a teacher at your school. You can also tell a police officer who can refer your friend to a sexual assult treatment center. Also, a good reason to tell someone is to get the person who raped your friend behind bars before they rape someone else again.
PS
She told you so, somewhere in her mind she knows people need to know and she's subconsciously counting on you to tell what she is too afraid/ashamed/upset to tell herself.

Have a good heart to heart with your friend. She should report this immediately. She shouldn't let him get away with this. Let her know she has your full support and that she isnt alone. If she doesnt want to talk to her own family, maybe a councellor or her doctor could help her come to terms with this and guide her.

It depends on who u r telling. Well first off i would tell my parents, then i would tell hers. Then probably go to a clinic with her to see if she has anything. But if that was my best friend i would do everything to keep her safe
