to answer the question instead of rambling on about pseudo-related facts or complaining about how you are being persecuted?

Well, Blasphemer, I do not answer to get best answer, though it happens and I would be a liar if I said I was not happy that someone liked what I had to say.

But, my chief goal is to answer as best I can and give relevant answers and scolding if I perceive they need it. In short I answer as if you were right here in front of me and decided to risk asking a stranger a question. I would say ask a stranger for help, but that is not always the case. Some do attack and accuse most I do not even give the time of day others I answer for some strange reason.

I also realize that I will not always get the coveted best as others have done a much better job than me and that is fine too as the goal should be to help even if it hurts and the truth does hurt at times and that can account for the lack of approval.

I,ve been thinking lately about that.like you know the voting at the end of each answer? how fair is that? i mean lets say you have two opposing groups like say Christians and atheists .isn't it likely that they will vote against the opposing group just because ?no matter how good the answer.? I actually caught myself doing that one time .voting that someone had a bad answer just because they did,nt agree with my point.
so I now try to be fair and objective.
at the same time this is,nt a contest for me. If i have to tell you what you want to hear (kiss your butt in other words) to get best answer.then it is,nt a best answer to me.
being honest about how i think.believe and feel is most important.
SORRY! now im just rambling on about pseudo-related facts.so peace.><>
to jan p GO GIRL!

I happen to resent that. I don't ramble about "pseudo-related facts" or "complain about being persecuted". And I do get answers chosen as best answers, thank you very much! :)

If you don't want people to be defensive perhaps you should try phrasing your question in a manner less inclined to insult. Actually, I don't care if I get picked as best answer. It's more important to exchange ideas, a concept you seem to have missed.

Two things to report to you, dear:
First of all, I couldn't care less about getting the points.
Second, we could get selected as best answerer if you would actually bother to ask a freakin question.

I got a lot of best answers today and from things I wasn't expecting and some of them just because. It is fun to get a best answer.

I don't answer to get best answer but I pray for wisdom for how to answer and God shows me how to answer. For me it's more about being obedient to what God wants me to do than getting a best answer.

I happen to have 127 best answers. A lot of the best answers came from this catagory!

PS--I do not ramble on!

Geting selected 'best answer' really is not the point. It is not something that people aim for. It is not like my self worth is based on it or anything. Why would we care. Or more importantly Why do you care?

Christians are just the same as other people the only difference is we have faith and God's forgiveness. But we don't have your forgiveness so I doubt you would select a Christian as best answerer.

why are you telling people how to answer a question, they can only offer thier understanding of the question. if they think something is right they will present it as the right answer, doesn't mean they are but you can't get aggrevated because that is all they can do. it isn't just christians,it applies to scientific theories and things such as evolution etc.......evolution isn't a proven fact but some defend the theory as if it were,so why is it so wrong for christians to defend their theories? as for the complaining part i think we all do our fair share of that whether it is on here or elsewhere, ignore it and don't let it bother you.
