When you have a ringing in your ear is it that you are hearing it or is it that you are fealing it?

I think it's a type of adaption buffer. As you listen to loud music for instance your ears put in this type of buffer, which you don't notice if you keep listening to loud stuff, but when it drops off you hear it.

It's like if you work out, you build muscle, your ears are trying to resist this sound level.

Give your ears a rest if this is happening to you, and the ringing will stop. If you go to loud concerts give your ears some peace for a few days after to recuperate.
