If It's a "Sin" to have Pre-Marital Sex, why does the US have the Highest Rate of *Teen Pregnancies*

Considering that 77% of the US identifies themselves as "Christian", and that "Christian" messages have often been showcased in the media, why is this?

Because that is obviously not true, based on the statistics you have given. Also, I can tell you that there is no nation without sin, especially those that claim themselves to be Christian states. No human being on this earth is not affected by sin, so there will be no Christian person, or state or nation for that matter, that will be without sin until the Day of Judgment at the End Times, when all the people left in the world, after the Judgment, will be sinless. 2. When something tries to restrict something, it doesn't work. Example: there are more abortions in places where abortion's illegal/restricted than a place where abortion isn't.
So in a place like here where most of the country's "sex education" is just abstinence till marriage to prevent pregnancy, the opposite effect will obviously happen, since kids there aren't taught about contraception because a lot of Christians say that's a sin.

Yes certainly having a pre marital sex is sin in line with jewish,christian and islamic religion.Adultery or fornication is prohibited by Allah the only one God.A pre marital sex based only on like each other and no force,this act is like animal.Any where and any time any one can make love without marriage is the same with animal behaviour.Human is bounded or tied by life guidance which have been given by Allah the only one God in the form of holy book..USA have the highest rate of teen age preg nancies because :
1)the knowledge of religion of the young guys and girls are so shallow .They acknowledged as christians but in fact they do not know exactly what should be done and what should not be done in line with their religion.
2)they know the ethic rulings in line with their religion,but the degree of their compliances are very low so they do easily the prohibition of adultery and abortion
3)there is no intensive education of religion or high moral at homes and or at the schools for the children
4)their parents do not give a good example of high moral for their children and do not give a proper supervise to their children
5)their children want freedom of anything including freedom in searching their friends and making love with anyone they like
6)the government regulation do not include clearly the prohibition of adultery and abortion and detain the perpetrators and taking them to the court as a crime as an evidence for enforcing.The government do not take any action or legalize the abortion and adultery..
7)they have been bad effected by Tv,Radio,newspapers,internet and blue films/books in the community which can be easily obtained. in the society.

In my opinion, there are a lot of hypocrites among the Christians who disobey God's Law. Also, many Christian churches concentrate so much on the Gospel, that they fail to tell their people what the Law is. There are a lot of church-goers that can't name all Ten Commandments. Very sad.
