What exactly is the information I provided used for? Who recieves it? Will people contact me because of it? Do I get a copy? If so, is it something I have to mail to schools, or do they have access to it some other way? Thank You!

The information is used to estimate how much financial aid may be provided to you-this includes loans, grants (money you don't have to pay back), work-study, etc. The Department of Education determines the amount of dollars you are awarded. You should recieve a letter from the school that you submitted your FAFSA sometime in early summer (could be sooner depending upon when you submitted the form and if you are a freshmen) That letter will tell you how much money you are awarded. You accept or rejects as much of the amount as you like. Therefore if you already submitted your FAFSA sit back and wait for the letter

You had to select your schools when you completed the FAFSA. So that should be in there. If you didn't put them in, have the FAFSA sent to the schools. Once you fill the FAFSA, you should get your Expected Family Contribution (EFC) in a few days, by email.

I didn't have to wait for any letter, I spoke directly to my financial aid counselor, they usually get all that info for you, the should be looking for it, Yes all the schools that you put on your FAFSA will be sent your SAR, but I would call your financial aid counselor if you know what school your going to.
