MD11: 58
MD10: 64
DC10: 19
A300: 63
A310: 66
727-200: 94
727-100: 8
There are however more aircraftthat are painted in FedEx colors, that fly for FedEx, but are opperated by other companys

FEDEX will also be geting the Boeing 757 soon as they are retro fitting them for cargo use. And for the comment that UPS is owned by American can you provide the source where you came by that ( not doubting you just had never heard that before and would like to see it).

If you have ever flown into or out of Memphis Intl Airport, you know that FedEx owns alot of planes, a very impressive complex... and according to my research, the poster above me got the numbers exactly right.

Fed Ex like UPS and many other carriers use different aircraft and different airlines as well to ship parcels.
UPS does not just use Boeing 747's. Go to your nearest airport and you will see many different aircraft. Since American Airlines owns UPS they use their planes as well to send parcels. Fed Ex will not disclose the number of aircraft it has, due to terrorist threats and security. Remember Fed Ex ships for the US Government and the US Military.

all over the world.. more than 1,000... big shipping bizz. i want to work for UPS. they are all boeing 747's.. all of them.. so they can put as much cargo on as fast and as many as possible. they are an international company so it would be a lot of airplanes.. i don't have an exact answer though. they only fly coast to coat and overseas.. not like airlines do. research if you need
