Death is the surest and most Important event in a person's life.

Should we celebrate the day or not depends on , whether or not, good utilisation of the life was done. If the life was just lived for one to die on some day, then the day is not worth celebrating.

It is not so. When a person his alive his birthday is remembered, but when he dies enjoying his birthday would be ridiculous so his death day is remembered . It is not celebrated. I know Hindus who do offer money and food to poor for their beloved ones birthday.

If this is customary for Hindu families, then it is meaningfull.
A friend of mine from India did this and I was invited to the temple. Very nice custom.
