would you think twice before skipping class or fighting at school or acting badly at school if your school was allowed to use a paddle to punish you instead of suspension ?

i would only have to think once and that is to not do it

I know I did when I was in school! The principal had a notorious red paddle in her desk that, at least we heard, she'd use from time to time. The biggest fear I had, though, that was much more scary than any paddle was the thought that my parents were being called or that I'd actually have to tell either one of them that I had been suspended. Just thinking about it now, makes me cringe--and I'm a parent and a teacher now!

I wouldn't do any of that anyways. It's dumb, and you're only putting yourself in a bad situation. However, if I did, I would rethink it. Paddling is torture-serious pain. That wouldn't happen though because it's corporal punishment.

hmm...that's tough...
They are both pretty hard punishments...

A) You "suffer" from being hit... which your parents might be upset about
B) You tell your parents... which they might hit you for...
