I know that most Hindus do not eat but I read that it is bc they are just like pets in India not anything that is worshiped. My husband and I are Muslims and we rent out a basment but the people above us are Hindu. I was cooking beef one day not offering it to her and I do respect her religion but she asked me not to ever bring beef into the house bc she cant do her prayers and all this. But I know she drinks and has it in the house and in our religion we dont drink nor have it in our home so that is not my religion. But I did not say anything bc its not hers. Why would she say that and is it true. We have differant believes so we cant make the other do our religion. And I also think she dont want us eat meat on tues just bc they dont???????

That's really odd and I think she may be taking it a bit far. We never impose our beliefs on other people, and she is being a bit hypocritical by drinking in the house when she knows (supposedly) that Muslims cannot have alcohol. One of my best friends is Muslim, and when we get lunch together, sometimes I get a veggie sandwich and she gets roast beef, and it's really not that big a deal.

I wonder why she can't do her prayers because there is beef, she is not ingesting it, it really shouldn't bother her. That's just my opinion.

You are right. She cannot impose anything on you. If she says dont bring beef in the house, than you can tell her dont bring alchol in the house. Respect is supposed to be one way. Tell her to stop bring alchol in the house.
