I have wavy hair and it's such a bother to straighten it, so if you've used the stuff you do at home I'd like advice or whatever. Does it make your hair dry and nasty? One of my friends used it and her hair looks fabulous, and it would really be sweet if I didn't have to straighten my hair as often. Thanks!

I have used it myself because I have extremely thick hair but i recently had to cut it because about 3 inches of my ends were dry and brittle. This is a very strong product that requires you to be very careful with your hair while the chemicals are in it to avoid breakage the directions stress that

Don't use chemical straighteners at home, trust me. I straightened my hair with this one straightening kit and it completely messed up my hair. It made my hair so fragile and although it straightened my hair, it also made it look very dry, and brittle...almost like hay. You should try getting your hair rebonded professionally. It's kinda expensive ($200-$300), but it lasts for almost a year and is not very damaging to your hair.

do you mean a relaxer? I use them , but I'm black. I don't know what effect it would have on white people's hair. You should go to a professional to chemically relax your hair. If you're new to using relaxing kits you can destoy your hair in the worst way. believe me

I use a ceramic hair straightner and it never makes my hair look dry and nasty. But I take 'decent' care of my hair.
