Atheists who ask real questions check answers, vote, select a best answer - and so on.

Do you other folks even check answers? I see by your profiles you don't ever answer anything. Maybe you don't even read other questions and I'm wasting typing time?

What gives?

Sorry to be trollish - but the answers so far are from those who use this site properly. Also underscores the point I was asking. And yes, we can have a sense of humour - everyone recall the "why do atheists kill people" line that went on a couple days ago? That was "great" fun...

At the very least, trolls should check answers, vote or at least reply to something to contribute...

But - that's probably enough soap boxing to get me reported....

And - enjoy the 2 points for your answers.

Yes - theists do it too.

I don't select a best answer because I want to see what the community does, or prefers. I want to know the voter's opinions as well.

I think that they don't choose a best answer because the best answer opposes what they think and therefore they don't choose one because it's not one that they like. These are the same people who give offensive answers to the Christian questions. They don't seem to care at all about anyone but themselves. They are absolute morons and have no ethics whatsoever, nor any concept of what ethics are for that matter. They also probably are not as educated as their best answering brethren, so they probably wouldn't even know a best answer if it came up and bit them in the face. My suggestion to any of them if they are reading this is, if you think I am wrong, then next time you ask a question, why don't you choose a best answer for once? After all, it is called "Yahoo! Answers" is it not? Therefore, by not giving a best answer, you seem to be going against one of the main concepts that this part of the Yahoo! website was built for, so either give a best answer for your question, even if it is one that you don't like, or don't ask any questions at all. Honestly, we answer your questions because we are hoping that you might choose our answer as the best one, so not choosing any answers as the best one seems to think that you really don't care about what anyone has to say, so why did you bother asking the question in the first place if you were not going to give a best answer? And the answer to that question was previously stated, so I will advise you to read what I have already said here. That is all.

This place has a lot of "Hit and Run"
Nothing new there.
Some of my questions can be rude, some are good. I sometimes see answers that should be read instead of buried so I put them to voting.
Voting often disappoints me because of the brainless ways people often vote.
But, Oh Well, Humans, what can you say.

lol...it's funny, you can tell if someone is asking or answering a question by wether it has words like 'idiots' 'stupid' ect....i thought they were the smart ones, you'd think they would come up with more intellectual insults.

But i digress.

I dont think those atheists are looking for answers. They really enjoy asking questions, but rarely answering any with enough class that I give them second glances.

Look for them, and notice what alot of atheists say in response to christianity, just a bunch of smoke, really.

Well that's simple enough, and certainly doesn't just apply to atheists, let's not be discriminatory. People asking stupid questions don't care what the answers are. Their whole purpose is just to act stupid because they think it's funny. They could care less as long as they get their attention.

I'm not real sure what you are asking? I answer tons of questions...some in jest, I will readily admit...but I always pick best answers for the questions I ask. Heck I get 3 points for picking best answer!

They are the most illiterate uninformed group I have ever encountered! They are such a waste of space and so much fun to blast!

Really. You'd think they'd appreciate the God-like power of a best answer.

You are lumping all Athiests together. I am an Athiest and I never do attack questions, if I have a question about religion it is because I truly would like to know. I always choose a best answer.
