Masturbation itself isn't a sin according to the Bible, but having a lustful mind is and I believe most people masturbate to porn or 'images' in their head. Jesus said It's the mind that matters, not the physical body.
Don't do anything that comes not from faith (conscience for non-Christians).

There's been several topics about this on this site.
The bible doesn't mention it at all. So it can't be taking as something that's really bad, but it is a lack of self control.
When you masturbate your given into your desires and it doesn't completely quench them. It's better if you learn to control unnecessary desires instead of letting them control you.
