i own a repair shop ,and if you do go with a remote starter,go with a real good brand, because when they go bad unfortunately they affect your car also, and can cause electrical issues with it and its electrical system, and there are a lot of shops that can install it without having it done at a dealer ship.but beware of some installers also, they use cheap connectors ,and these work loose, and sometimes it doesn't function right because of this,a dealer one would be a good idea,as long as its a good one, good luck i hope this helps.

Go with the dealer especially if you have any factory warranty on the car left. Most manufacturers will void your warranty if the remote start causes any issues and was not a factory starter.
