A cup of Green tea (6 oz) contains 8 to 36 mg of caffeine.
A cup of White tea contains 6 to 25 mg of caffeine.
A cup of Oolong tea contains 12 to 55 mg of caffeine.
A cup of Black tea ranges from 23 - 110 mg.

coffee definitely, but some tea can have almost as much caffine as the coffee (eg. Lipton tea has 40mg caffine per 8 oz, and Maxwell House cappuccino has 50mg).

That is my understanding,however there are so many different kinds of tea and coffee,I really think it would depend on what brand tea you were using(some are very strong,while some are decaffeinated)and how you brewed it.I know the way i make my coffee and the fact that I use really good coffee,a couple of cups will send you to the moon!

There is less caffeine in tea than there is in coffee. If I remember correctly, tea has 40mg of caffeine per cup, while coffee has 100 mg per cup.

pound for pound there is more caffiene in tea.
But as you can get 20 good strong cups of tea from 2 oz. of tea leaves and maybe 4 cups of coffee from the same weight;
acup of coffeee contains more caffiene than a cup of tea.
