you could either do yoga ( hey dude it works and its not gay if any of your friends know) or youcould do sprints from oneside of your driveway to the other. aproximately 5-10 years.

you could also do squat thrusts( you squat down and you put you but to your heel and jump up and switch feet) 15 in a row with 3 reps, for your explosion.

you could allways ask you head coach for exersizes for sprinting.

I would suggest doing the sprints to help you with you speed and the squat thrusts for you explosions of the start.

I highly recommend High Intensity Interval Training since you are looking for speed...it also helps with endurance.

HIIT increases VO2 max over time...so that will increase your speed

practice every day at different distances and have some way to time yourself. think about what you are practicing (getting a good start or lengthening stride or something different each day).
