It is better for you. Water base has low VOC's. You will not be smelling it for a month and multiple coats can be applied in the same day. Oil base will take 3-5 days to apply finish. Water base 1-2 days and they are very durable.

not if it real hardwood. little thin veneer floors like waterbase, cause it don't expand the sawdust substrate under the one 16 "veneer U got a real hardwood floor? Put oil and wax on it. Best thing U can do. U got a cheap veneer floor? Not worth much more than linolium............treat it the same way.

There both durable, plus side for the water based is you can put a couple coats on in one day and no smell. Water based doesn't yellow like the oil, I personally like it. It's your choice both good products

it doesnt matter but use of a satin gloss is better than a hard gloss as its softer and wont scatch as much as high gloss
