Probably just a decent amp and sub(s)
My camry's sound system cost me about $500 CAD, going around to the pawn shops, and buying some very cheap things from walmart, I had a system that could deafen me within seconds. two 12" ported subs from the pawn shop, an 800 watt mono amp from MJ Audio, and a deck from walmart (a really cheap jensen MP3/CD player).
The system was so loud I could feel the wax in my ears being packed against my eardrums, every 5 minutes it would literally click repeatedly against my eardrums with the bass. Depending on where you go, you can get a pretty deadly stereo system for really cheap. I could hear my system a block away and feel the bass inside my workplace when parked a half block down (I was a delivery driver back in the day)

all i got to say is good luck. even at walmart, u cant really get a cd player, amp, box, and subs for 300. ur gonna need to up ur budget. but try walmart, and best buy cuz sometimes they have package deals, but its low quality stuff and usually a waste of money.

dont go to wal mart, you can get something better than wal mart for 300
