Simple - miniature dachshunds are under 11 pounds when full-grown, and a standard size dachshund is over 16 pounds. Anything in-between (12-15 pounds) is sometimes called a “tweenie.”
So, if your doxie is under 11 pounds as an adult, then he/she is a miniature.

Miniature dachshund's run just a few pounds less than full sized dachshunds, usually around 12 pounds and below are mini's while anything over that is standard sized, although sometimes you can't go by weight alone, you'll have to go by their individual size as well. The mini's are smaller than the standards. If you are still unsure, consult your vet or go to your local book store and find the "Dachshunds for Dummy's" book. It has tons of great info for dachshund owners.

I'm not sure if I understand your question. If your asking if you dashshund is small for his/her species size, the best way is to look up a book, ask a expert like a vet, or the internet. There are information on average size, weight, behaviour of dogs. Then size your dog if he/she falls below average size. Then sorry he/she is small.
