Are you taking Tylenol, or Benadryl?
Tylenol is acetominophen. Benadryl is diphenhydramine. Tylenol should not make you sleepy or dizzy, but Benadryl can make you both sleepy and dizzy. It probably won't do any harm, but the effectiveness of Benadryl tends to lessen after a while as the body gets used to it. The side effects may lessen too. If you are actually taking Tylenol, recent studies have indicated that it isn't good to take a lot for an extended period of time as it reduces liver functioning.

yes, Dizziness is a side effect because this medication crosses the blood brain barrier. that's why you feel sleepy. Too much of it will cause you to feel dizzy because it's just like taking Bendaryl. Dizziness is a common side effect but if it persists, I would think about discontinuing it or speaking to my doctor before discontinuing. Maybe he/she can give you some guidance with regards to whether or not you should just stop taking it abruptly.

Simply ask your pharmacist. Many times they know more about the drugs we take than our doctors.

read the label (the whole thing, not part of it) and it should tell you all the side affect.
