My little sister has kind of crooked teeth, she is 12 years old right now. But we haven't went to the dentist in like 4 years. Will she have to get brases? Or will the teeth clear up on their own?

BTW: Her teeth aren't really yellow haha

Yes, we can afford it.
My dad just thinks that dentists are quacks, but I don't think so.
He only says that because he has had a bad experience with them before, a guy filed down his teeth. And he has never had a cavity and hes 45.

I think that's something a dentist would need to answer, not strangers on the internet.

Don't look too bad to me. Cute smile!

most orthodontist's give a free consultation... your mom should call and find ut, it wouldnt hurt.usually when they are like that and young they do clear that is only if they were coming at an angle because then they come in together eventually... that happened to my brother.
by the looks of it, it seems like she has a gap more than a crooked smile so most likely... yes
but like you know this site isnt professionals answering and we dont know other than our opinion... how come you havent been to a dentist? too much money? thats not too good especially since you two are so young... it is necessary to see a dentist regularly... for cavities and cleanings etc. well good luck and again, only a dentist can tell you for sure

It looks like she could benefit from braces. She should first see her dentist for a cleaning and any fillings, etc. Then she should see an orthodontist for a consultation. She should see 2-3 and pick the treatment option that sounds better to her or your parents in this case. Most orthodontists offer consultations for little to no fee. She does not have to get braces. It is up to her and her parents. If she is comfortable with her teeth, then there is no need for braces. I wish you the best of luck.

Yes, she definitely needs dental work. Try to encourage your parents to take you to a dentist and orthodontist.
