hi, I in simple terms had a liver biopsy in simple terms below a month in the past. the somewhat biopsy is used with basically an area anesthesia. The docs did not positioned me to sleep because of fact I had to respire deeply and carry each time they asked me too. this will not be with all of us. the somewhat biopsy replaced into extremely painful to me and slightly later on i replaced into sore for some days. in spite of the actuality that, this is not the extra serious element I actual have ever had finished to me. i think my nerves have been extra shook up than i replaced into later. I had one done a few yrs ago. They gave me some IV valium to relax me, but not enough to knock me out. You have to be awake enough to tense stomach muscles, and take and hold your breath while they do it. It was easy, but yes, it is uncomfortable. It is like a really big needle that they insert and aspirate a specimen out. They did 3 sites on me. Then I had to stay for several hrs to make sure it was not going to bleed, but I went home later that afternoon.
