i have contacts but i just think i look pretty weird without them? ALSO i just got braces freshman year and they wont come off til 11th grade? am i like the outcast of my grade? everyone has pretty much had braces never had them bc they dont need them or just wont get them!

When i was in high school i had both glasses and braces and i never thought i looked dorky.. it's all about self- confidence!!! If you think you look good.. who gives a rats *** what every one else thinks! People with positive vibes around them tend to have more friends anyway.

Braces are the best investment my parents ever made for me. Lots of kids get braces it's no big deal. You will be so greatful one day when you have beautiful straight teeth. As far as the glasses go, there are tons of cute stylish frames that are not dorky at all.

The amount of time you spend with braces on seems like forever now, but when you get them off and have perfectly straight teeth forever, you will forget about it. Contact are great though...your visual ability is better than with glasses. Glasses give you a blind spot from the side. Most, but not all people look better without glasses.

No-one notices braces, and if they do point them out, it's to take the attention off something they don't like about themsleves. You'll have great teeth one day, I'm glad i had braces:) Wear your contacts though...the eyes are the prettiest part of the face. That doesnt mean you cant look good in glasses though, lots of people do :pxx

They don't look as dorky as you would with crooked teeth bumping into walls. Be patient, you'll grow up and have a whole new set of issues, like loosing your hair and not being able to remember where you left your keys.

if you have contacts it is probably not that dorky to have braces. but both that's just to much for a kid to handle. seriously i would of died in high school with both. I wore glasses and i seriously felt like a weirdo then i got contacts.

NO, be confident and no one will see you as dorky. If you are too self-conscious (which everyone is a little) then you may make youself dorky.
