Heh, interesting. You probably need a new ignition switch, but that's a rather odd failure, usually it's the other way around.
There are a few ways to shut the car off but the safest is to disconnect the battery. Look at the terminals on the battery, you should see a nut you can loosen. Loosen it pretty good then wiggle the battery cable off. Disconnect the negative side, the black cable hooked to the side of the battery with the -

The ignition switch Probably needs replacing. If you really need to turn it off and back on without replacing the ignition switch immediately. Open the hood and disconnect the Red Battery Terminal Wire. ***Not when it's raining or wet. Leave the Black connected so your car will remain grounded. When disconnecting make sure the red doesn't accidently touch the battery. USE CAUTION.

I'd also pull the negative cable. If you just somehow "stall" the engine, you'll still have battery power running to the ignition, and the battery will die and you'll need a jump. I'd try turning the key on and off a few times, BUT don't turn the key to "start" with the engine running, you'll damage the starter.
I agree, sounds like a bad ignition switch, if you try turning the key on and off a few times maybe you'll get it to shut off. If you do, get the ignition switch replaced.

If you are not afraid of some high voltage shock, spark plug wires removal will do. Otherwise, try to find the fuse box under the hood, and remove fuses one by one until it stalls. Put them all back after you're done.
Battery disconnect will not help because alternator will supply enough power for engine to run.
Then have the ignition switch replaced.

Pull the CENTER spark plug wire out of the cap or stuff a pillow into the breather intake tube. When it stops, remove the positive battery cable.

It could be the following
1. Idle speed too high
2.Ignition timing incorrect
3.Incorrect heat range
4.Intake air leak
5.Carbon build up in combustion chamber
6.Valves sticking
7.Valve clearance incorrect
8.EGR (Exhaust Gas Recirculation) system not operating properly
9.Fuel shut off system not operating properly
10.Check for causes of overheating
Hope this helps.
