He needs regular baths and grooming every six weeks. If you are not going to clip him yourself, you need to find a good groomer and set up regularly scheduled appointments. You could probably bathe him once between appointments if he gets dirty, but doggie smells should be looked into by a vet. Also, light colored poodles tend to have brown tear stains that can be cleaned weekly with a tear-stain remover from a pet supply store or your vet.
Dry food should be fed to keep his teeth clean and white and to prevent "doggie breath".
Be sure the vet checks his ears to make sure the smell is not coming from an ear infection.
And the most disgusting cause for doggy smells-anal glands. At the next vet appt, ask about if he needs them squeezed and how to do it yourself at home. If you have the vet do it, you can expect trips to the vet even more often than the groomer, about every two weeks. Either that, or put up with a smelly pooch.
I know, not what you asked, but what you need to know. Good luck with your pup!
Blessings

Since she is two months old, it would be okay to give her a bath. Shivering is normal. I have a huge Red Hound and she shivers too. Just make sure that the water is warm, and that you don't have any fans or air conditioning blowing directly onto her. Then immediately after her bath, wrap her in a towel and cuddle with her. It helps her know that you're not punishing her and that she was a good girl, it also keeps her warm. If you don't feel comfortable giving her a bath though, at pets smart there is a spray that is like a doggy perfume that you could use on her, but a bath is still the best option for the smell.

bathing too much can cause skin problems -- (dandruff, dry itchy skin). each time you shampoo, it strips the hair of natural oils. do not shampoo more than once every two weeks at the most. use an oatmeal based shampoo to help keep the coat and skin moisturized. if possible, try to only bathe about once a month. it is good that you are starting to get him used to baths at an early age. he is probably ready for a little puppy groom now or in two weeks or so. some groomers offer packages that don't include a full haircut, but just a face, feet, and fanny trim for puppys to help them get used to the grooming process -- the dryers, the sounds and feel of the clippers, the table, etc.

you can bathe a dog once every 2 weeks but I'd look into why he is so stinky first. Maybe an underlying problem with it's skin. Better check that out the next time you have him at the vets.

Mine will jump in the tub several times a day if I let her. Now she isn't 100% poodle but she doesn't stink. So if your little guy loves a bath, give him one every few days.

Well I have a dog to. Don't give him a bath to much because his skin may get dry. I know he might stink but he is a dog you really can't do anything about it. So about every other week.

he will not need a bath again for at least 4 weeks. Has he been to a groomer for his first real clip. or you going to do it you self. they do need baths only about every 6 to 8 weeks

Give him a bath every two or three weeks. Or when you need to. There is no "appropriate" time to bathe your dog, no matter how young or what breed. Just bathe him when he needs it. We just bathed my dog today cause he stank so much!

once a month, try to keep the places where your puppy stays clean and in order, careful with fleas! this way your puppy will stay clean more time.
I think that you should follow Skyhoss´s advice, groomer for 46 years ! wow!!

I would give him a bath once a week , when he needs it. if you do it more than once a week, you could dry their skin.
