Basically, I go to bed at 10pm and wake up at 5am, which is when I need to get ready for high school. I am so tired when my alarm goes off, I just hit the snooze button, and my mom wakes me up 15 mins before I have to go to school! Not only does this add tons of stress to my day, but I sometimes fall asleep in class because I am so tired. What could be the problem?
Any help is greatly appreciated

Well... the main reasons are:
1) you dont get enough sleep average should be 8-10 but you like any other average American
2) You might sleep for that long, but dont forget you can toss and turn during sleep, resulting in tiredness
3) Eat healthy food, thats what i've heard to help you stay awake

well sounds like your getting the right amount of hours of sleep....idk...i guess it could be either that your waking up at 5 that makes u tired...the fact that your going to school also might make you tired....i had this problem in high school too....i would get enough sleep but still feel so tired in the morning, AND i woke up around 7.....and i used to also feel tired in class sometimes and fall asleep.....now it doesnt happen to me anymore...it might just be that your getting tired of waking up for school thats alll...it gets better when your in college though.

I get tired even though I get 8 hours of sleep plus a two hour nap. (But then, I do swimming practice every afternoon).

Maybe its stress. Everyone is tired if they get 6 hours of sleep.
Its normal. People just say they're not tired.

take vitamins, energy drink to keep you awake! you must also limit your other extra curricular activities to give yourself time to rest.
