Fancy bath products, scented candles, gift certificate to a spa, a gift basket with gourmet teas or coffee... anything romantic, fancy and unusual for a wedding. Most likely they have everything needed for their home, so go for something extra special.

Stick to the registry! Most 2nd wedding couples will still have one. Others might ask that in lei of gifts, guests donate to the couples favorite charity. If you're unsure if they have a registry (or similar set-up) ask a person in the bridal party. If they don't a registry, give them a "date night". A basket with a bottle of wine, restaurant certificate and romantic scented candle.

I had a friend who recently got married the second time and she really wanted new towels. And silverware with the last initial on them.
My dad who married for the fourth time wanted new towels, and his wife wanted gift cards. Another idea is to buy a gift card to a really nice restaruaunt, or to offer to pay for the honeymoon suite.

Well, a lot of europeans give money as a gift. Maybe you can do that since they might have most of what they want and they can use the money to get what they want.

A lot depends on how much they have materially now. If they seem to have everything, and you or you and your friends can afford it, how about a weekend at a B & B somewhere that can be used later.
