Which one is better to ease your soul and stuff?

Yoga's goal is a flexible, healthy and graceful body. Most of the postures involve stretching, rather than contractions or effort. Pilates' goal is to stregthen the "core", which is the torso, back, abdomen area, by calisthenics rather than weight training. The basic similarity is that both systems emphasize the spinal area of the body, rather than the arms and legs.

As far as "easing the soul", yoga would be your choice. Yoga quiets and sublimates an over-excited body, and seeks to calm and regulate breathing and respiration, rather than just to pant and breathe heavily, as in Pilates, aerobics, calisthenics, and even weight training.
