I know protein builds you up but if I take in around 300 to 500 grams of protein does it build muscle faster?

Excess protein, beyond the about 50-70 grams/day needed by an average adult male, will degenerate to starches, and unused starches will become fat. This depends upon your total profile of caloric and nutritional intake. Without resistance exercise (weight training), no additional muscle will result.

no!

you're right that protein builds muscle through repair and growth...but an excess of anything, even protein, will be stored as fat. Just cause you're taking in large amounts of protein doesn't mean you'll get jacked. The key is to take in more calories than you burn to gain weight. I doubt that you weigh in mid 200's to 300..that would be way to much protein.

It's 1 to 1.5g or protein per 1lb of bodyweight

no most people who eat a regular diet are already getting enough or too much protein. While protein does repair muscle tissue, any of it that isn't used is then stored as fat. So in effect, you're just taking fat pills. probably not what you're going for. Protein pills are mostly just a marketing scam, don't fall for it.

If you have enough other resources in your body to utilize the protein, yes it will be used to put on MORE muscle.

*resources = steroids*

Stick with natural route, chances are you're experiencing body dismorphia and you're big enough as it is. Look it up if you don't knwo what that is.
