I am sorry to hear this. My mom had it. It was hard for her. However, as technology has improved I am sure and hope it will go better for you. My mom's spirit was strong this is what helped her. If you need to talk to family and or friends for strength do it. As far as diet help it would probably be good to talk to your doctor and perhaps he can refer you to a dietitian who specializes in Crohn's disease. There are many factors to consider. You need to eat well and stay away from junk food as much as you can. I know my mom had a hard time digesting milk. But, it is important to get enough calcium as your system can become depleted from it. So I guess I would suggest a calcium supplement if you cannot get it in your food. I can only further suggest to talk things over with your doc. Good luck, ((hugs))

well I dont have helpful tips about crohns but I was dnx with MS and had a hard time, I accpected it and all but it was hard coming to terms with what to do next. I would suggest that you find a support group, look online at yahoo groups too, and there has to be a headquaters for people with it, find the website and talk to someone there and ask if they know of any groups near you. I have to say thats the best thing for me, tallking to others going through the same thing as I was made me feel more relaxed somehow someone else saying yeah I know what you mean was great. Hope the best for you.

Garden of Life has a product called Primal Defense , it's a probiotic (good bacteria) there is a whole book on it by this guy who had Crohn's disease and his father got him these probiotics and it really helped him, you should check it out. If there is a Whole Foods or Wild Oats near you they will probably have the book.
