I'm not sure when her Prom is and I know its not a big deal as a Junior in High school. But this girl and I have been friends for a while now and even though she said she just likes me as a friend we still hang out a lot. BTW I'm a freshman in College so I don't go to her school, but Do you think she would ask me to go with her? I really like her, and We always have a good time when we hang out. I know its not a big deal if she dosen't ask me, but it would be suprisingly cool if she did. I don't know if she has ever been to a prom, I know she went to Homecoming before with another guy but that was before she knew me, so what do you think? I'm not going to be mad or sad if she dosen't ask me, but it would be cool if she did.

Bas,
Truthfully, from what you're telling me, I do not think she's gonna ask. Sounds like the girl, but it does not seem like she likes you back in the same way (from what you've said of course). Just because she talks or hangs out with you alot, does not mean she likes you (although sometimes it can be a sign that she does). You feel strongly enough to post this on the internet, and although you say you don't care, I think you really do. So, my suggestion is that you invite her to some of your events and maybe be sly and bring up her prom and say something like, "Who do you think you're going to go to prom with?" I only see two options. One, you can just shut your mouth and possibly wonder if she would have asked you if you had said something. Or, two, you could say out right that you wouldnt mind going with her to her prom and either get rejected (in which case you would only suffer a minor scratch on your self esteem u-- one easily fixed--) or be accepted by her and have to worry about prom. I think, that if you truly care about her, you should just ask (you only get one chance in your life); then again, you're in college you'll meet plenty more girls before time is up

Most proms are sometimes in later may or june. A casual way of bringing it up is waiting a little bit later tillo aroug mid april. Girls prepare early, for the prom, but prefer to be asked around that time. Ask her casually,"hey when's your prom?", and then when she says when ask have you been asked by anyone yet(there's your answer). If she says not yet or I don't know, ask who she would want to take her. Good luck!

Awwww, you got it bad honey! :) That's so cute. The fact that she told you that she likes you just as a friend probably means just that. So, even if she does ask you, it probably doesn't mean anything. She probably won't though if she hasn't been talking about it at all. I hope this isn't discouraging, but I had a really good friend in high school who liked me and I treated him the same way. It's not bad, I mean I really cared about him, I just didn't have romantic feelings for him.

well you said she says you two are just friends. if you really want to go to this dance with her, ask her if she has any other boys in mind and if not than you just ask her. whats the worst that could happen. Besides you two can even go as friends. Have fun with it. It really isn't that big a deal, seeing how you two are friends.

If you guys are friends, why don't you ask her. Or at least bring up the subject and see where it takes you. You will never know if you don't try or ask. I hated asking guys out it is much better the other way around. good luck

She might but if you really want to go with her why don't you tell her, she might not even know you want to go. Just tell her you like her and would be willing to go with her if shes interested

maybe but it's more likely that she'll go w/ someone closer to her age, but then again going w/ an older guy's pretty cool. hard to tell.

i think you should look for someone your own age though.
