Ever since i quit smoking i've noticed a lot of things that people tell me could be symptoms of diabetes. I know that quitting smoking will make you feel crappy for a while but it's been 2 months now and i'm noticing it still.
Ever since i was a preteen i've felt like i had no energy and get easily exhausted.
I've also had this problem with ALWAYS being thirsty... i'm always drinking water or juice or pop or anything liquid really.
I've also always had a problem with getting hungry frequently... i could eat a whole meal and then half an hour to an hour later... i'm hungry again.
Not to mention that my hands and feet are almost always cold (since i was young).
I also seem to have a crappy digestive system because my stomach almost always feels "not right" as well as my bowels.
I know there could be more than one answer for these things, but I want to do the test anyway and i'm worried that my doctor wont take me seriously because i'm sort of self-diagnosing...what should i do?

Go to your doctor and tell him/her exactly what you've outlined in your question. Tell him/her what you are concerned about. Diabetes is a possibility based on a couple of the symptoms you've mentioned, but there are other possibly causes as well. A good doctor won't blow you off simply because you have a pre-visit concern regarding specific diseases.

A regional hospital/clinic might offer free diabetic screening.

A local drugstore might sell a Glucose Screening Test.

Have you ever had a blood test, if you did then how long ago? Check it and it will probably say Glycemia and a number that should be between 70 and 110. If you haven't had a blood test for a while then you can get one.
