utorrent??????????????//?

Question

HELP!!! I just downloaded utorrent but I don't really know how to use it. The most detailed explanation or a really really good link to an explanation get 10 points!!!!

and....what are seeds and what are peers and what is needed for me to download something. i tried to download something and it has been going for like 20 minutes and it still says 0.0% done. please i can't find anything on FAQ

I assume that you have installed this software:

The best way is as following:
1. Download .torrent files from different torrent sites e.g

www.torrentspy.com
www.torrentz.com

I dont want to publicise sites so its upto you to search for torrentz.
In short you will need a .torrent extension file to open in this software

2. Open your .torrent file in utorrent and it will try to find the seeders for the files that are included. Once seeders are found it will start downloading.

3. You can edit preferences such that others can take files from your folders as well and by this sharing you are also limiting the speed of your internet uploads. Sharing options are useful but most of people only allow two or three connections so that they can safely download.

4. If your download do not start it might be because of firewall settings. Look for the port number that is in utorrent and then add this port into firewall safe ports.

To get torrents i prefer to go to a torrent forum where people are discussing about available torrents and they are active.

It comes with a help section. Just click on help in the upper right and can print out whatever section you want or read it from the screen. Also while you have the program open, just hit the F1 for help.
