I really want to get a tattoo, and i want to know when i can get one. At the moment i am 15, can i get one at 16 with a parent consent.

It is a Class A misdemeanor to tattoo anyone under the age of 18 in Illinois. Not only do we card you but we photocopy it AND we do not take parental permission, even if they come with you.
There are no provisions for that which is great!!

i seriously advise you to not get one at 15. Trust me your not going to want the same thing when your 18 or 20. What you think looks cool now will prolly end up a cover up in a few years. Wait untill your old enough then make the descision. It's going to be on your body for the rest of your life, even when your skin is saggy and wrinkled and your an 80 yr old woman in a nursing home.. .

Call a tattoo shop and ask, but most states the age is 18

in most states its 16 with parents consent and 18 without, but really think about what it is that you are going to get, likes and dislikes change pretty often at that age I wouldn't recommend it to anyone that young unless it is well thought out ....good luck

No you cant, even with a parents consent.
18 is the age you can get one.
Don't get one illegally, cos chances are - the tattoo artist will be dodgy.

it aint unlawful im an analogous age and that i've got been given it, yet its extra effectual to have your mothers and fathers permition. they the cops aint go say sh*t yet i dont think of its a concern cus i guess u goin to highskoo

wait untill you are 18 that way maybe you won't get one that you will regreat later. i waited and am glad what i wanted as a teenager would embarass me if someone saw it now.
