Hi James, are you already a Christian?
If you want to be baptized, you must already be a Christian. It doesn't matter how long you have been one though.
Any Christian is able to baptize you.You can get it done at the church,a pool, a river, wherever really.
You will have to ask your local Baptist church what age you must be to become a full member, but you will be welcome to attend church and participate in activities at any age.
if you have any questions, you can email me.

Christ, don't do it. Not that it makes one bit of difference - being dunked in the water, and what not. Hell, I've done it. ...grew up Baptist. Went to Baptist school. Did it to please my family. Feels a little foolish in retrospect. Three gods in one, streets paved in gold, virgin birth, burning bushes, walking about on water - I mean, seriously, who makes this stuff up? Do you Christians really believe this nonsense? Have you even thought critically about what it is you believe? (that's rhetorical - clearly not). If you want to believe in God, then fine. Nothing wrong with that. But why believe in all of the fluff that the church would also have you to believe? Whenever someone tells you of the one true way to salvation, then little alarm bells should start wringing in your head.
If you still want to proceed, then I suggest you at least wait until you're 30. That should give you time enough to come up with why it is that you believe what you believe.
There is no Easter bunny, or Santa Claus, either, and when you die, you're dead. That's it. How do I know? Bad question - here's a better one: How do you know otherwise? ...and if you start spouting bible verses you may as well pronounce yourself brainwashed.

Visit some Baptist churchs in your town. See if your parents can go with you or drop you off, or catch a ride with a friend. Then I'd probably ask the preacher. Go to their websites and see if you can set up an email correspondence.

You need to go to a Baptist church and talk to a minister. I'm sure he'll tell you that you need the consent of your parents to attend the services and that you'll need to accept Jesus as your personal Savior. You cannot be baptized until you have accepted Him as your Savior and only your minister can perform the baptism.

I`m a christian who attends a baptist church. I think Jesus himself is standing up giving you a handclap right now. I promise you if your serious about your relationship with God he will even honor your baptising of yourself if thats the only way you can do it.
Do everything with faith that`s what pleases God. Not just religion but relationship. God bless and welcome to the family!

I think there are a couple hundred denominations that call themselves Baptist, each has a slightly different take on things.
At the very least you may wan to read the article at Wikipedia, to see what they’re about and how the various groups differ.

The first thing you need to do is ask yourself the following question..."If I don't know anything about the baptist faith...why have I already decided that I want to join it?"

Visit a Baptist church in your area, and ask to speak with the pastor. Find out about God's plan of salvation, accept Jesus Christ as your savior, and ask the pastor to baptize you.
And no....you can't baptize yourself.

Your Baptist church should have no problem baptizing you. It is a profession of faith that you make, and you're above the age of reason.
