I'm practicing them (I was never taught) and I can't quite figure out how to remove them from the paper to the cake. I'm considering carefully using a butter knife and slowly using another butter knife to slide it off. But is there some utinsel specially made? I think I saw some crazy looking scizzors at Michael's, but wasn't sure that's what they were for.

Sorry, they are NOT stuck to parchment paper. I was just wondering what utinsel was the best to lift them off the wax paper to the cake.

Thanks!

Put them in the freezer for about 10 minutes and just pop off. Pampered chef makes a nice small spatula that will be perfect for what you want. Its about 2 inches wide.

Try using wax/parchment paper next time. If stuck using a slightly heated flat metal utensil (cake slice server, etc) should work perfectly.

Those scissors work well but so will a cake server lightly sprayed with bakers secret, use a little more frosting to glue it in place.

freeze them - or use wax paper next time - let them get really cold, pop them off and let them come to room temp on wax paper
