What would I say I don't do in my day at work?! I am a nurse, taxi, supervisor, secretary, artist, pooper-scooper... I tend to owies, tears, staff and toys. I clean, change diapers, potty train, teach academics, play and run outside. Education for preschoolers is a broad term that encompasses all the things that a toddler-preschooler must learn to do before they go off to kindergarten. Social skills, cognitive skills, fine and gross motor, self-help and language/speech skills are all incorporated into the curriculum. Over all this, teachers need to have love and passion for children. If you don't love what you do working with young children, it won't matter what you attempt to teach- you won't connect with the children. I couldn't possibly list all the things I do during the day... there is too much. You make the most out of each experience and hope that you have impacted a child's life in a positive way.
